Immigration and Customs Enforcement Supervisory Mission Support Specialist in United States

Summary Organizational Location: These positions are located in the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), in multiple locations as specified in this announcement. These are non-bargaining unit positions. Salary: The salary range in this announcement reflects the lowest and highest potential salaries for this position. The actual salary range will be based on the applicable locality pay for the selected duty location. General Schedule locality pay tables may be found under Salaries & Wages. Responsibilities As Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Develop overall operational plans, objectives and strategies for key support processes; Monitor and evaluate the delivery of support services to key field offices and employees; Direct and oversee the execution of budget, logistics, procurement, and quality assurance programs Lead the development and implementation of effective and responsive human resources management, training, labor and employee relations, and public affairs programs. Specialized Experience, GS-14 You must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that included performing at least 3 of the following: Providing guidance to supervisors, managers, or leadership on administrative programs (e.g., budget, human resources, procurement, logistics, labor and employee relations, or public affairs), including interpreting policies or recommending actions. Reviewing administrative programs or support functions to identify procedural or regulatory issues and recommending corrective actions. Developing or implementing program changes, process improvements, or initiatives affecting administrative or mission support activities across multiple organizational units. Analyzing and resolving administrative issues involving competing requirements, policies, or resource considerations, and recommending solutions to management. Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. Education Additional Information Promotion Potential: This position is at the full performance level. This is a supervisory position. Under provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act, first time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
