ICONMA, LLC Supervisor - Materials II in United States

Our Client, an Automotive Aftermarket company, is looking for a Supervisor - Materials II for their Redford, MI location. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates in plant material flow, from receiving dock to point of use on the assembly line.

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, shipping records, and material flow for raw materials.

  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.

  • Maintain standard processes in place for material technicians and team leaders within their designated area.

  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

    Requirements:

  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree

  • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • Decision maker for daily activities that are guided by policy, procedures, and business plans with oversight from manager

  • Demonstrates understanding and application of procedures and concepts related to job field as well as basic knowledge of other related work areas

  • Coordinates the resources of team and set daily priorities to meet operational objectives

  • Primarily supervises the work of entry and intermediate level professional individual contributors or large numbers of shop floor employees in operations, manufacturing, and/or logistics

  • Interprets and administer policies, processes, and procedures

  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to use tact and diplomacy to exchange information, handle sensitive issues, and translate, simplify, and clarify information for employees

  • Responsible for staffing decisions such as hiring, firing, rewarding, training, and developing employees

  • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • Relevant experience being leadership and automotive plant experience

  • Leadership role supervisor for a union plant is relevant experience

  • Decision maker for daily activities

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Responsible for staffing decisions such as hiring, firing, rewarding, training, and Developing employees

  • SAP Time keeping and other client systems

  • Best – showcase leadership and adaptability on resume ability to lead 35-40 employee team, and union experience.

  • Performance based – tardy’s and absents – attendance and quality of work
