Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant with at least three years of full-cycle accounting and finance experience, preferably in the construction industry. This role involves working closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate documentation of financial transactions.
Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and monitor for discrepancies.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Support year-end audits and tax preparation for external auditors.
Assist with federal and state tax filings as needed.
Contribute to Work-in-Progress (WIP) calculations.
Handle special assignments as required.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information to protect company operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
Minimum of three years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
Previous experience in the construction industry is beneficial.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Quickbooks and Sage Intacct is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.
