Honeywell Sr Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor in United States

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all production in the Packaging Department to meet output and quality requirements.

  • Oversee assemblers, scheduling, and workflow for the area. Ensure that assemblers have the necessary equipment, tools, and information to do their job effectively.

  • Oversee additional support roles including machinists and provide dotted-line direction to production planners and maintenance techs.

  • Lead and mentor Process Engineers on providing day-to-day production support, addressing process/equipment issues, defining production processes, and completing technical projects.

  • Complete labor capacity analyses to determine staffing needs. Determine required headcount, propose hiring plans to management, and conduct hiring and on-boarding processes.

  • Complete machine capacity analyses to determine capital equipment needs. Propose capital equipment purchases to management, track budget and delivery schedules, and oversee equipment installations and qualifications.

  • Be the subject matter expert for Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) efforts. Work with Engineering and Quality to review drawings and documentation and ensure drawings are compliant and aligned with design guidelines.

  • Interface with external suppliers (plating shops, machine shops) and equipment vendors to address quality, delivery, and technical issues.

  • Conduct hands-on work on the manufacturing floor when necessary, including investigating bad products, assisting with equipment repairs, and helping move products through the line.

  • Create a culture that aligns with Honeywell’s Behaviors and promotes safety, personal warranty, a customer-focused mindset, and quality as part of everyday work.

  • Be the Packaging main point-of-contact. Communicate with others across the organization and at different levels to obtain information, gain support, escalate issues, receive feedback, and provide updates.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

  • 5 years working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US citizenship.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement improvements in a manufacturing area.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team or project.

  • Experience with presenting information and responding to questions from clients, customers, cross-functional departments, and management at all levels.

Salary Range: $97,520 - $121,900. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base bay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
