WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Warehousing Operations
• Provide strategic alignment for multiple internal and external distribution/warehouse facilities, ensuring consistent operating standards, compliance, productivity, and inventory accuracy
• Continuously evaluate geographic storage locations and update strategic plans as needed
• Accountable for all external third-party logistics (3PL) and warehousing partnerships, including contract management, SLA development and monitoring, performance reviews, and escalation resolution
• Develop and enforce unified warehousing policies, SOPs, and KPIs that span internal and external facilities, creating a cohesive and auditable network
• Partner with planning and procurement teams to optimize stock positioning and replenishment logic across the warehouse network
Trucking Operations
• Direct team providing operational oversight of the company’s small private trucking operation, including driver management (in coordination with HR), route planning, dispatch, and load utilization
• Ensure full DOT compliance across the trucking operation, including Hours of Service (HOS), driver qualification files, drug and alcohol program administration, and vehicle inspection records
• Evaluate the ongoing strategic fit of the private fleet versus purchased transportation, and make recommendations to leadership on capacity, growth, or outsourcing decisions
International Logistics
• Manage and coordinate international inbound and outbound freight across all relevant modes (ocean, air, intermodal), working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure cost-effective and compliant movement of goods
• Maintain working knowledge of import/export regulations, Incoterms, customs entry requirements, and trade compliance obligations; partner with legal and finance as needed on duty management and classification
• Monitor international transit performance and proactively manage disruptions, delays, and exceptions across the global supply chain
ERP Transformation (Supply Chain Workstreams)
• Serve as the logistics subject matter expert and business owner for all supply chain-related modules within the company’s ERP transformation initiative, including warehouse management, transportation, inventory, order-to-cash, and procurement-to-pay workflows
• Partner with the ERP project team, IT, and functional stakeholders to document current-state processes, define future-state requirements, validate system configurations, and drive user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Drive logistics team readiness for ERP go-live, including change management, training, and hypercare support planning
• Ensure data integrity and master data governance standards are established for logistics-relevant data domains (carriers, locations, routes, assets)
TMS Implementation
• Drive the business-side implementation of the company’s new Transportation Management System, from vendor selection support and requirements definition through configuration, integration, pilot, and full deployment
• Define TMS-enabled workflows for carrier management, load tendering, freight audit and payment, and real-time visibility — and ensure adoption across internal teams and external partners
• Establish TMS performance baselines and measure post-implementation savings and service improvements against pre-defined targets
• Serve as the ongoing business system owner for the TMS following go-live, managing enhancements, integrations, and user support in partnership with IT
Team Development
• Coach and develop a cross-functional logistics team spanning warehouse operations, transportation, fleet, and systems — setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities to align with current operational needs and the future-state organization post-transformation
• Build and manage departmental budgets, headcount plans, and capital requests; escalate as needed.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key carriers, 3PLs, freight forwarders, and technology vendors to support the company’s strategic objectives
• Accountable for cost and efficiency on over $15M annual spend

YOUR MUST HAVES:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive logistics and supply chain experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
• Demonstrated experience overseeing warehousing operations, private fleet or trucking, and contract logistics/3PL relationships simultaneously
• Proven track record of heavily involvement in an ERP implementation or major supply chain systems transformation
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and logistics compliance requirements
• Experience with international freight, customs, and trade compliance
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, including budget development and cost management
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
YOUR MUST HAVES:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or related field.
5 or more years of experience in logistics/warehousing and supply chain management, including people management.
10 or more years in logistics and/or warehouse operations.
Strong knowledge of logistics and warehousing processes, systems, and regulations.
Strong negotiation and people skills.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
Proven ability to motivate and manage teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Able to travel domestically.
Detailed oriented.
Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:
Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain) or equivalent advanced education
Hands-on experience implementing or managing a Transportation Management System (e.g., MercuryGate, Oracle TMS, SAP TM, Blue Yonder, Reibus)
Experience with ERP platforms relevant to logistics and supply chain (particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365)
• Experience operating within a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
