Mizuho Corporate Bank Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer in United States
Join Mizuho as a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer!
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a variety of security tools including but not limited to: Endpoint Detection & Response, Security Orchestration, Network Security, Log Aggregation Platforms and related infrastructure platforms like Proxies, Domain Name System and Secure Access Service Edge technologies. The ideal candidate will also review the configurations of security related tools/functions that contribute to our overall security program. The successful candidate will often serve as SME/Technical Contact on various projects and BAU activities. You should have experience of leading efforts around implementing and replacing security platforms within an enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate an ability to learn new platforms and manage vendor relationships.
Major Responsibilities:
Run and support projects related to various security platforms within the organization.
Building and maintaining the governance documentation for the supported platforms.
Support various configuration, integration and transformation efforts related to the security platforms.
Troubleshooting of reported issues with tools/platforms.
Work within tools to support security monitoring use cases and optimization.
Interface with vendors for support and information on products.
Support platform configuration.
Required Qualifications:
Strong hands-on technical experience with tools mentioned in the job description.
Experience performing upgrades and deployment of tools.
Experience working with VMware (or similar), Next Gen Firewall and SASE platforms.
Experience with SIEM (Splunk preferred).
Understanding of DNS and IP networking.
Strong troubleshooting/root cause analysis skills.
Self-driven – ability to take requirements/tasks and complete independently.
Strong communication skills to report on risks to the organization and project commitments/deliverables.
Understanding of the Incident Response life cycle is required as engineering may serve as an escalation point for Security Operations.
Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows OSes required.
Ability to script/code to aid automation required – preferably Python + PowerShell.
High attention to detail.
Educational background with BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or similar.
At least 5-7+ years of experience in a similar or related position.
Required to be on-call.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working with the Financial Services Industry.
Previous experience in system/network administration, or desktop engineering a plus.
The expected base salary ranges from $160k-$225k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
