Senior ERPNext / Full-Stack Developer - Remote
ERPNext, Frappe, Python, Vue.js, MariaDB & Docker
BG Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior ERPNext / Full-Stack Developer to support high-impact Department of Defense (DoD) technology initiatives in the United States and internationally. This role is focused on the design, customization, and operation of ERPNext-based systems used in secure, compliance-driven environments supporting the U.S. Military and its partners.
The ideal candidate is an ERPNext-first engineer with deep experience in Frappe, Python, MariaDB, and Dockerized deployments, along with strong front-end capabilities using Vue.js. Candidates with active or previously held security clearances are strongly preferred.
This position reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, customization, and ongoing development of ERPNext solutions using the Frappe framework.
• Configure and extend ERPNext modules including Accounting, HR, Projects, CRM, and custom Doctypes.
• Develop secure backend logic, integrations, and APIs using Python and Frappe.
• Design, maintain, and optimize MariaDB databases supporting ERPNext and custom applications.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Docker-based ERPNext environments.
• Develop front-end components using Vue.js.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and CMMC requirements.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
• Provide technical updates and recommendations to C-level executives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
Clearance : Must be able to pass a military background check. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Experience:
• 5+ years professional software development
• 3+ years ERPNext/Frappe experience
• Strong Python backend development
• MariaDB performance tuning
• Docker-based deployments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum practices.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related
field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of modern full-stack application development.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and development collaboration tools.
Desired Skills/Certifications:
• Cloud deployment experience (AWS).
• Docker/Kubernetes knowledge.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Jest, xUnit, Playwright).
• Prior DoD development experience or military background a strong plus.
Work Environment
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work within Eastern Time Zone.
• Must maintain a home office in compliance with company standards.
