Overview

We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to support critical enterprise applications across Development, QA, and Production environments. This role works closely with Development, Data, QA, DevOps, and Help Desk teams to ensure reliable releases, stable systems, and fast issue resolution—especially during time-sensitive user submissions.

This is a hands-on operational role ideal for candidates who enjoy troubleshooting, release coordination, and owning production stability in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and support Development, QA, and Production environments across Windows and UNIX/Linux servers

  • Execute application deployments, migrations, and environment promotions following change management standards

  • Review release notes, validate system versions, and perform post-deployment testing

  • Monitor system availability and performance; identify and resolve issues within SLA expectations

  • Partner with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Help Desk teams to resolve incidents in real time

  • Support scheduled releases, data refreshes, and emergency fixes, including after-hours work

  • Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately one week every four weeks)

  • Maintain accurate documentation for environments, configurations, and operational procedures

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment, monitoring, and support processes

Data & Release Support

  • Support weekly databuilds, model builds, and production data refreshes

  • Assist with sprint validations, stress testing, and environment resets

  • Validate data and application integrity following deployments and refreshes

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments

  • Strong background with Windows and UNIX/Linux server administration

  • Proficiency with UNIX command-line tools and troubleshooting

  • Experience with application deployments, migrations, or environment promotions

  • Familiarity with Control-M or similar job scheduling tools

  • Working knowledge of AWS environments

  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to change management practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scripting experience (Shell, PowerShell, or similar)

  • Exposure to ITIL or formal change management frameworks

  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and alerting tools

Work Expectations

  • Comfort with after-hours releases, weekend work, and on-call support

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple technical teams

  • Strong communication skills and a calm, methodical approach to issue resolution

Base Salary: $76,400 - $141,800

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location and application employment laws. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
