Overview

Tremend is looking for a Senior QE who combines strong technical skills with a leadership mindset. You’ll be hands-on in delivering quality across Web, API, and backend layers, while also helping to shape QE practices, mentor peers, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Your Impact:

  • Design and implement robust, scalable testing and quality engineering strategies for energy trading and risk management platforms across the organization

  • Build and evolve automated quality frameworks covering front-to-back trading workflows, including trade capture, scheduling, nominations, settlements, pricing, risk, and reporting

  • Design and execute automated and manual validation approaches using modern test tooling, SQL, and scripting to ensure data integrity, functional correctness, and process reliability across trading platforms

  • Validate complex integrations between trading systems and surrounding enterprise platforms, including market data providers, exchanges, scheduling tools, settlement systems, risk engines, ERP platforms, and data warehouses

  • Implement controls for regression, release validation, and change impact analysis to reduce production incidents in highly integrated trading environments

  • Create clear documentation for testing procedures, business scenarios, automation assets, environment dependencies, test data, and release validation approaches

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of front-to-back trading processes, including trade capture, lifecycle events, confirmations, settlements, invoicing, positions, PnL, risk, and reporting

  • Experience validating physical and/or financial trading workflows across commodities such as power, gas, renewables, oil, or related financial markets

  • Strong hands-on experience in designing test scenarios for complex business processes, system integrations, and data flows across trading ecosystems

  • Proficiency with SQL and at least one scripting or programming language such as Python for test automation, validation, and data analysis

  • Strong knowledge of quality engineering methodologies, including functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT support, exploratory testing, and defect lifecycle management

  • Experience validating pricing, valuation, and risk outputs, with the ability to investigate discrepancies across trades, positions, market data, and downstream calculations

  • Understanding of trade and market data reconciliation techniques, including source-to-target validation, financial output verification, and cross-system consistency checks

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business users in trading, risk, and operations
