Primary Function
The Project Manager, Trade Merchandising is responsible for leading and executing end-to-end merchandising projects that drive in-store sales and enhance the customer experience. This role operates at the intersection of cross-functional collaboration and operational execution, ensuring retail display programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to brand and retailer expectations. The position sits within the Omni Channel Merchandising Team and reports to the Sr. Manager, Trade Merchandising.
Location: Pawtucket, RI. Hybrid- in office Tues-Thurs
Contract: 4/1/26 - 10/1/26 to cover leave of absence
Max pay rate: $40/hr.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end merchandising projects from initial concept through in-market execution, including project kickoff, design alignment, approvals, production oversight, and delivery timelines
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Strategic Marketing, Finance, and Product Marketing teams to develop innovative, cost-effective retail merchandising solutions
Manage project timelines, milestones, and approvals while adapting to evolving business needs and display requirements
Oversee production and shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery and successful retail activation
Maintain accuracy and integrity of merchandising databases, trackers, budgets, and shared documentation across platforms
Lead recurring project status meetings with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners to align on deliverables and expectations
Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with internal operational teams to ensure project success
Demonstrate strong attention to detail while making informed decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Support merchandising initiatives with energy and a solutions-oriented mindset, contributing to the success of retail programs across the product portfolio
Skills & Qualifications
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Experience working in retail or trade merchandising environments with a solid understanding of in-store display execution
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead meetings, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment
Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
Experience with Smartsheet and Adobe Frame.io is a plus
Project Management certification is a plus
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
5+ years of project management experience
Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG); experience in the toy or gaming industry is a plus
