RCM Technologies Process Development Engineer in United States
Full Time Contract Title: Process Development Engineer Location: Dorado, Puerto Rico Length of Contract: 12 months with potential to extend Position Description: As a Contract Process Development Engineer will bridge the gap between initial design and full-scale manufacturing. You will handle the characterization, validation, and optimization of complex automated processes. This role requires a "hands-on " technical expert who thrives in an FDA-regulated environment and can navigate the rigors of IQ/OQ/PQ with precision. Responsibilities
Validation Leadership: Lead the execution of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols; author comprehensive Master Validation Plans (MVP) and summary reports.
Process Characterization: Utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) and PFMEA to establish robust process windows and mitigate manufacturing risks.
Automation & Tooling: Collaborate on the design and integration of automated systems, including vision inspection, PLC-controlled assembly, and precision laser welding/bonding.
Inspection Systems: Develop and validate in-process and receiving inspection methods (TMV) to ensure 100% compliance with design specifications.
NPI Support: Drive the transition of new products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring scalable and repeatable processes.
Qualifications
Experience: 5–7+ years in a regulated industry ( MedTech, Pharma, or Biotech).
Compliance: Deep expertise in ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Minitab (or similar statistical software), SolidWorks (for fixture design), and an understanding of PLC/Sensor logic.
Contract Ready: Proven ability to hit the ground running and deliver results within a 12-month project timeline.
Education
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
