The Circleville site is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to support the Kapton® unit. The successful candidate would join an existing group of experienced Manufacturing Technology Engineers. Kapton® polyimide films have set the industry standard for over 60 years in high performance, reliability and durability, with a unique combination of electrical, thermal, chemical and mechanical properties that withstand extreme temperature, vibration and other demanding environments.
The Circleville site is located approximately 30 miles south of Columbus, OH.
The Manufacturing Technology Engineer will:
champion compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements;
lead improvement efforts to increase process capacity and reliability;
keep process technology documentation evergreen;
drive the reduction of process variability and waste to improve product quality and yield;
assist in scale up of new products;
assist operations and maintenance in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving;
develop improved process instrumentation and control strategies, process safety, yields, plant capacity and uptime performance;
provide basic data and technical support for capital projects;
develop and drive implementation of long term improvement plans and
mentor other engineers, operators, and mechanics
Job Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of manufacturing experience
Demonstrated abilities:
Application of Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements
Implementation of reliability improvements
Ability to champion change in a manufacturing environment
Data driven decision making; root cause failure analysis
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Self-initiative, a motivated self-starter than can work independently
Ability to handle multiple tasks and a high-volume workload with shifting and competing responsibilities
Preferred skills / experience:
SPC (Statistical Process Control)
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Process equipment specification
Project management
