AAA Mountain West Group seeks a strategic and accomplished leader to manage a multi-disciplinary Learning & Development (L&D) team. Reporting to the Vice President of L&D, this highly visible role requires a minimum of ten years of experience with a background in management consulting or organizational development. You will be responsible for the end-to-end learning journey—encompassing onboarding, performance, and succession planning—across three distinct business pillars: Insurance, Travel, and other businesses. By setting a clear vision and roadmap, you will lead high-stakes modernization initiatives to design and roll out scalable, business-aligned learning solutions. From lead-facilitation coaching to AI-driven blended learning and stringent regulatory compliance, you will ensure every touchpoint in the agent lifecycle yields demonstrable performance outcomes and long-term organizational growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategic Redesign & Modernization
Spearhead enterprise-level initiatives to overhaul the training ecosystem. You will transition traditional outdated programs (instructor-lead) programs into high-impact, blended learning journeys incorporating live facilitation, AI-driven bots, self-paced content, and video resources and incorporated in the job flow.
End-to-End Curriculum Ownership
Own the full lifecycle of onboarding and continuous development for Insurance and Travel Agents. This includes managing the transition from initial training through the critical nesting phases to full proficiency.
Stakeholder & Partner Integration
Act as the primary L&D liaison for internal Product teams, Travel leadership, and external Insurance carrier groups. You will ensure all learning initiatives align with broader organizational goals and evolving business needs.
Compliance & Technical Accuracy
Guarantee that all curricula accurately reflect complex partner products and adhere to stringent regulatory and insurance compliance standards.
Performance Coaching & Delivery
Develop and coach a high-performing facilitator team to ensure excellence in delivery, while implementing innovative strategies for effective self-paced modality adoption.
Success measurements:
Ensure that all engagements are meticulously tracked, measured, and correlated with targets aligned with the organization's top strategic initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Consultative Background: Highly developed consultative skills; experience in Management Consulting or Organizational Development is a significant advantage.
Strategic Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a strong Executive Presence.
Project Leadership: Demonstrated capability in managing large-scale program redesigns and vendor partnerships.
Facilitation: Mandatory facilitation skills and experience.
Technologically Proficient: Demonstrated understanding of and experience with AI-powered learning tools, such as AI coaches and related technologies, to enhance learning and development initiatives.
EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related area or combination of education and experience
8+ years of progressive experience within Learning & Development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in the insurance industry.
5 years of experience in managing and coaching high-performing teams.

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $132,465.00 - Mid: $165,580.00- Max: $198,697.00
