Michaels Manager - Integrated Product Flow in United States

Support Center - Irving

The Manager - Integrated Product Flow is responsible for driving a customer first strategy that aligns all operational functions to drive on-time delivery of product to Stores. This role leads cross-functional collaboration to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time – ultimately delivering on our company financial goals and an exceptional customer experience.

This is a strategic managerial role for someone who can organize complex concepts into simplified terms for alignment and thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, collaboration, and is passionate about delivering results across the entire product flow. This individual must possess strategic thinking abilities and be adaptable to change, seeking out new opportunities to drive the business.

Major Activities

Driving Strategic Priorities

  • Support establishing Sales & Operations Planning disciplines at Michaels, including S&OP strategy, inventory flow planning, holiday / event planning, and Operations contingency planning.

  • Responsible for developing and continuously refining the Michaels Operational Playbooks in partnership with the Supply Chain and Stores.

  • Leverage newly developed tools to drive adherence to end-to-end milestones and provided visibility to sets and resets.

  • Proactively communicate fact-based risks to stakeholders and organize cross-functional partners to mitigate risks. Monitor and provide continuous improvement recommendations for the tools and process.

  • Utilize data and analytics to identify, evaluate, and recommend strategies for optimizing the end to end product flow.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Connect Merchandising, Inventory Management, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to ensure smooth product flow.

  • Influence and align internal teams around deadlines and potential risk.

Create and Maintain Structure

  • Program manage Sales & Operations Planning, ensure action items are documented, sent out, and followed up on. Follow up on open topics and drive them to closure.

  • Support the Supply Chain Strategy leadership by providing input into Executive level read-outs

  • Take charge of planning and executing the product end to end life cycle, as well as DC/Store high-level operations planning.

  • Manage Expedite requests through the Supply Chain by collaborating with key functions to understand and document needs, tradeoffs, and recommendations to leadership.

  • Create strategic presentations and communication materials

  • Effectively communicate key product flow decisions cross-functionally as needed

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of PowerBI

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

  • 3-5 years of experience in Project Management, Retail background preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience managing people, programs, or processes

  • Experience influencing across multiple business units and levels

Preferred Type of experience the job requires

  • 2 - 5 years Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or financial analysis experience

  • Technical understanding of the supply chain

  • 2 years of experience managing a team and/or S&OP process
