About the Role
Join our Ravenna Plant Maintenance Team and play a vital role in supporting the production of non-latex polymer-based hose and tubing through expert maintenance and repair. This is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance position where you will work collaboratively with other maintenance team members on your shift to maintain and improve facility operations, machinery, and electrical systems. Your skills will help keep our plastics extrusion manufacturing process running smoothly and safely. This role offers a starting rate of $32.00/Hr.
Key Responsibilities
Prioritize personal and team member safety.
Perform mechanical and electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting on production machinery and plant facilities.
Conduct preventive maintenance in accordance with established schedules to minimize downtime and avoid major mechanical failures.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment; (experience with PLCs is a strong plus.)
Maintain and repair safety guards, electrical wiring, and devices to ensure compliance with NEC codes and safety standards.
Accurately document all maintenance activities, assist in managing spare parts inventory, and support procurement efforts for needed parts.
Support continuous improvement initiatives including LEAN and Kaizen events.
Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks at equal or lower classification levels.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a multi-craft or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in interpreting complex mechanical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude combined with solid electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with PLC equipment troubleshooting is preferred.
Ability to use advanced shop math and various measuring instruments.
Must have your own basic hand tools; additional tools will be provided through our company's tool replacement program.
Our manufacturing roles do have some minimum physical requirements; standing for 8+ hours, ability to wear PPE (safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, safety vests, and gloves), repetitive motions including use of hands to bend tubing & connect hose assemblies, sorting items by size shape and color, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and lifting, up to 45 pounds.
