Responsibilities

Summary :The Lead People Technology Analyst, Reporting & Analytics serves as the center of excellence for people data reporting, analytics, and insights within the People Technology team. This role designs, develops, and maintains enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the HR organization.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Workday reporting and people data, strong analytical and business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leaders. This role partners closely with the People Leadership Team, HR Business Partners, and functional leaders to support strategic workforce planning, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Reporting & Analytics

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level reporting solutions including custom, matrix, and composite reports, advanced calculated fields, and dashboards.

• Serve as the technical expert for complex reporting and analytics needs across Workday modules (HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Time, Payroll) and related people technology platforms.

• Own the enterprise reporting catalog, including documentation of report purpose, data sources, business logic, and refresh cadence.

• Establish and enforce reporting standards, naming conventions, and governance practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and data quality.

• Evaluate and adopt new Workday reporting features and functionality as they become available.

Dashboards, Insights & Decision Support

• Create and maintain executive dashboards and operational reporting hubs that provide visibility into key HR and workforce metrics.

• Partner with leadership to define, measure, and monitor KPIs and workforce analytics aligned to business priorities.

• Conduct ad-hoc and recurring analyses to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and executive decision-making.

• Translate complex analyses into clear executive-level summaries and recommendations.

Compliance, Data Integrity & Audit Support

• Develop and maintain regulatory and compliance reports (e.g., EEO-1, SOX, ITGRC, ACA).

• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate, timely data and supporting documentation.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation, reconciliation, and quality-assurance processes.

• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other stakeholders on reporting requirements and data governance.

Enablement, Training & Documentation

• Enable self-service reporting by designing intuitive dashboards and educating HR users on effective data usage.

• Provide consultative guidance to HR partners and leaders on report interpretation, trends, and data literacy.

• Partner with Learning & Organizational Development to create training materials and deliver reporting and analytics workshops.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting solutions, including technical specifications and business definitions.

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Workday reporting tools or comparable HR analytics platforms.

  • Strong understanding of HCM data models, business objects, and security frameworks.

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data transformation.

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard design.

  • 7+ years of experience in HRIS reporting or HR analytics, including 5+ years of hands-on Workday reporting experience.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $98,700/Yr to $130,000/Yr , and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
