The automations engineer intern will gain hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing automation solutions that enhance customer experience, improve agent efficiency, and drive operational performance.
Job Functions:
Assist in designing, developing, and deploying contact center automations
Build and maintain scripts, integrations, or APIs supporting automation projects
Support the configuration and optimization of cloud-based contact center platforms
Analyze call flow data, agent performance, and automation efficacy to identify improvement opportunities
Collaborate with operations, workforce management, and IT teams
Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and validating automations
Document workflows, technical processes, and solution design
Help track and report on automation KPIs
Other duties assigned as needed
Experience and Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent required
Currently enrolled in a four-year university program, a sophomore level or above (pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, and/or equivalent degree)
Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar
Familiarity with RESTful APIs
Knowledge of cloud services
Exposure to RPA tools
Understanding of data structures and algorithms
Basic database skills
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Computer Skills, Microsoft Office and Access, Customer Service Software, Typing (60+ wpm)
Excellent written/verbal communication, customer-focused, ability to learn quickly, team player, attention to detail, thorough follow-up, and ability to multitask
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
Requires normal range of hearing and vision
