The Product Marketing Intern will be supporting our Product Marketing team to guide product sales and content decisions through a strong emphasis on data analytics, reporting, and insight generation. This role blends marketing fundamentals with hands-on experience building dashboards, generating recurring reports, and working with datasets using Excel and Microsoft Access/SQL.

Key Responsibilities (Data & Reporting Emphasis)

  • Collect, clean, and analyze marketing and commercial datasets (e.g., sales activity, product mix, pricing/quote data, campaign performance, web/content engagement).

  • Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, charts, advanced formulas) and/or Access.

  • Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort (e.g., templates, standardized refresh steps, data validation checks).

  • Summarize trends and insights for stakeholders; translate analysis into clear recommendations for product marketing actions.

    Additional Product Marketing Responsibilities

  • Assist with customer and competitive research; organize findings and implications for positioning and messaging.

  • Support development/update of product marketing materials (one-pagers, presentations, web content, internal sales enablement tools).

  • Help maintain product and market information across internal/external channels (e.g., website, catalogs, internal portals).

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, document action items and support coordination on marketing initiatives.

    Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, lookups, conditional logic, charting; Power Query preferred).

  • Ability to communicate findings clearly in slides and written summaries.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Access and querying relational data.

  • Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT statements, JOINs, GROUP BY, basic data aggregation).

  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.

  • Interest in technical/industrial products and ability to learn product applications quickly.

    Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $18.42/hr to $30.7/hr

  • No benefit plan eligibility
