CAE USA INC Gulfstream IV Instructor Pilot in United States

Description

As a Gulfstream IV Instructor Pilot at CAE, you will play a critical role in developing skilled and confident pilots through high‑quality simulator and ground school instruction. You will guide clients through all phases of training while upholding CAE’s commitment to safety, professionalism, and world‑class customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory requirements, CAE‑approved curriculum, and customer expectations.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead clients through their assigned training.

  • Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.

  • Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings in line with CAE standards.

  • Complete administrative duties such as maintaining training records, tracking personal instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training when required.

  • Support the development of curricula and courseware as an SME when needed.

  • After approximately 1.5+ years (subject to business needs), qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

  • Meet physical job requirements, including:

  • Frequent use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.

  • Occasional work in confined spaces.

  • Extended periods of standing or sitting.

  • Occasional movement to complete tasks.

  • Ability to lift or adjust objects up to 20 lbs.

CAE provides a comprehensive training program to support your transition into a world‑class Instructor Pilot and subject matter expert.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or state‑issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • 2–5 years of job‑relevant experience.

  • Previous experience teaching or training others (preferred).

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation.

  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based programs.

  • Ability to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti‑Drug & Alcohol testing program.

  • Hold or have held a professional pilot license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing instructor qualification or aircraft type rating.

  • FAR Part 135 experience.

  • 3,000+ hours of total flight time.

  • Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to create a positive, professional learning environment.

  • Proven ability to tailor training for diverse customer needs.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with CAE and FAA policies.
