Healthfirst Finance Risk Analytics Intern (Financial Planning & Analysis) - 2026 Summer Internship in United States

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Develop an understanding of the Healthfirst overall business and risk model, with a focus on how to support provider organizations to improve financial performance and how value-based care can drive improved outcomes

  • Attend internal and external provider meetings to develop an understanding of how theProviderRisk Analytics work fits into the larger Healthfirst enterprise strategy

  • Performanalysis anddataprojectstobegin to develop an understanding of how tomonitorcost and revenuetrends,use analytics andvarious typesof healthcare data toidentifyimprovementopportunities, and model and communicate impact to providers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree or currently enrolled in Finance, Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Math, Statistics, Economics or related programs

  • Undergraduate students must bejunioror senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.

  • Will not require sponsorship for employment

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degreeor currently enrolledin Finance, Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Math, Statistics, Economicsor related programs

  • Knowledge of SQL based applicationsand Tableau

  • Work experience with Microsoft Excel - create pivot tables, formatting, sorting,createspreadsheets with complex formulas such as v-look ups.

  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver who can work independently and collaborate throughstrong communicationand interpersonal skills.

  • Experience managing projects

  • Knowledgeof Medicaid and Medicare programs

  • Knowledge of healthcare data (claims,diagnosis,and procedure codes, etc.)
