Responsibilities

Summary :As a Supervisor, Enrollment Underwriting, you will be responsible for leading underwriting efforts and ensuring all enrolled properties meet the 2-10 HBW program requirements. You should be organized with a strong work ethic and are familiar with leading a team with a collaborative work environment. You will have the opportunity to take on a variety of responsibilities and the ability to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team responsible for reviewing home enrollment applications to verify risk management and eligibility requirements are met and ensure all information is complete and accurate.

  • Provide training, coaching, feedback, guidance to team members, facilitates consistency, accuracy and quality throughout the department.

  • Update and create trainings as underwriting techniques are adjusted and educate team members when this occurs

  • Respond to and resolve escalated issues and/or unique or complex requests from both internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • Serve as subject matter expert for department. Educate team members and customers on product and process as well as answer questions for internal and external customers.

  • Develop and delivery training for the Enrollment Underwriting team as well as educational resources for external customers.

  • Foster a highly collaborative work environment with all departments; specifically, Risk Management, Accounting, and Sales.

  • Ensure that Service Level Agreements and deadlines are met by coordinating and following up with all necessary parties

  • May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to apply problem solving skills to complex situations.

  • Deep understanding of underwriting and risk management practices with the proven ability to ensure compliance with all program underwriting requirements.

  • Knowledgeable of home construction practices and the ability to interpret findings on key home inspection documents (foundation, frame, final, etc.).

  • Ability to work through escalations with resolutions.

  • Ability to lead a team, lead coaching discussions, and hold the team accountable for productivity.

Preferred Skills:

Physical Role Requirements : Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role) :4+ years of professional experience required, 2+ years of experience coaching or mentoring team members

Travel: Occasional travel may be required.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $53,287.00/year to $73,210.00/year , and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
