The Role:
The Engineering Manager is involved in engineering projects, from initiation to commissioning to product support. The position responsibilities include project execution and control to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules. He/she is responsible for scheduling, developing, planning, pricing, executing, monitoring, and controlling capital projects. The position executes engineering and design requirements to furnish the deliverables set forth in EnviroMix sales contracts, defines the systems and equipment described in the order, and ensures that systems comply with, and function to, customer specifications. The position provides leadership and direction to the engineering department while handling specific design aspects on projects appropriate to his/her discipline field.
What You'll do:
Lead project engineering from concept through field start-up
Coordinate and direct the design team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery
Develop and review system designs including P&IDs, component selections, and mechanical documentation
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, customer specifications, and contract requirements
Support sales with technical input, pricing development, and proposals
Review production drawings and recommend improvements for cost efficiency and manufacturability
Serve as a technical liaison for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
Provide troubleshooting support for field performance issues (remote and onsite as needed)
Support purchasing in identifying critical design requirements and supplier qualifications
Participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
8–12 years of related engineering experience
Experience managing capital or engineered-to-order projects
Strong understanding of mechanical system design and component selection
Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage multiple project timelines
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work onsite in Charleston, SC
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in municipal wastewater treatment systems
Experience with compressed air systems or pressure piping systems
Familiarity with PLC/HMI control systems and instrumentation configuration
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD modeling software
