Element Fleet Management Director, Maintenance and Logistics in United States

The Director of Maintenance & Logistics is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the strategy, performance, and evolution of Element’s core maintenance offering in Mexico. This role oversees operations supporting 85,000+ vehicles , managing 25,000+ monthly service orders , and ensuring service quality across a network of 3,000+ maintenance providers .

Director ensures operational excellence, client satisfaction, and scalable growth, while driving uptime performance, digital transformation, and AI adoption across the function.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Product Leadership

  • Define and execute the maintenance product strategy in Mexico, aligned with business goals and client needs.

  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and scalability of maintenance services.

  • Partner closely with Strategic Alliances, Commercial, and Operations teams to enhance value proposition and service capabilities.

2. Operations & Service Delivery

  • Lead execution of 25,000+ monthly service orders across 85,000+ vehicles .

  • Ensure delivery of uptime commitments, SLAs, and service standards .

  • Establish and monitor KPIs, quality metrics, and operational performance .

  • Drive efficiency, cost optimization, and process excellence at scale .

  • Create a cost-efficient strategy for vehicle transportation along maintenance and other operational areas.

3. Client Solutions & Service Excellence

  • Design and implement tailor-made maintenance strategies for clients with complex needs.

  • Ensure alignment with client parameters and contractual commitments .

  • Act as escalation point for critical service issues.

  • Promote a strong client and driver-centric culture across the organization.

4. Leadership & Organization Development

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team

  • Build capabilities and processes to support growth, efficiency, and innovation.

  • Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and strong execution discipline.

5. Digital Transformation & AI Adoption

  • Drive adoption of digital tools, automation, and AI solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making.

  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to implement scalable solutions.

  • Lead change management to ensure adoption and impact across teams.

  • Leverage data and analytics to enhance operational performance and predictive capabilities.

6. Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration

  • Work in close partnership with the Strategic Alliances team to ensure service quality, competitive pricing and performance across the maintenance suppliers network.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align operations with commercial, client and fleet managers objectives and expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, logistics, or related field (MBA a plus).

  • 10+ years of experience in operations, logistics, cx, maintenance, or fleet services.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale teams and high-volume operations .

  • Strong background in operational strategy and execution .

  • Experience driving digital transformation and/or AI initiatives .

  • Strong analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills.

  • English fluency required
