What's the Job?
Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of SQL Server instances, ensuring optimal setup for on-premises and cloud environments.
Utilize advanced performance tuning tools to identify bottlenecks and optimize query execution, indexing, and storage strategies.
Implement and manage high-availability solutions such as SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, and replication to ensure data reliability and business continuity.
Design and execute backup and recovery strategies, including testing restore procedures to safeguard data assets.
Configure security mechanisms to maintain compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies, including encryption and role-based access control.
What's Needed?
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration, with proficiency in versions such as 2012, 2016, 2019, and SQL Server 2022.
Expertise in T-SQL programming and familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Analysis Services (SSAS).
Experience with cloud-based SQL Server deployments, including Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances, along with hybrid solutions.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex database issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to junior staff.
