Responsibilities
Summary : The Data Quality Specialist strengthens the organization’s data integrity by evaluating data across systems, identifying quality issues, and supporting the implementation of standards that improve accuracy, consistency, and completeness. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to define data quality rules, document expectations, and ensure alignment with enterprise data governance policies. The specialist conducts profiling, root‑cause analysis, and ongoing monitoring to help the organization maintain trustworthy data for analytics, regulatory reporting, and operational decision‑making.
As the demand for high‑quality data grows—driven by AI, compliance requirements, and data‑driven strategies—this role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with SQL and data tools, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute data quality checks, profiling activities, and validation processes across multiple data sources.
Identify, analyze, and document data inconsistencies, anomalies, and defects.
Conduct root‑cause analysis to determine the origin of data issues and support remediation efforts with business and technical teams.
Partner with Data Engineering to correct inaccurate or incomplete data and prevent recurrence.
Define, document, and maintain data quality rules, standards, and business definitions.
Collaborate with data stewards, analysts, and business stakeholders to promote data quality best practices and ensure alignment with governance frameworks.
Monitor and report on data quality metrics, trends, and issue resolution progress.
Support the implementation of data quality controls and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain documentation related to data quality findings, processes, and standards.
May assume other duties as applied.
Qualifications
Required Skills:

Certification in Data Management
Other/State Specific
This role pays between $66,000/Yr to $90,500/Yr , and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
