Our client, a leading organization in the cybersecurity and information technology sector, is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist 3 to join their team. As a Cyber Security Specialist 3, you will be part of the Cybersecurity Department supporting security operations and risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Remote

Pay Range: Fair Market Rate

What's the Job?

  • Identify and resolve highly complex cybersecurity issues to prevent cyber attacks on information systems.

  • Design, install, and manage security mechanisms that protect networks and information systems against threats such as hackers, viruses, and spyware.

  • Respond to security incidents, investigate violations, and recommend enhancements to address potential security gaps.

  • Execute Risk Management Framework (RMF) tasks and Security Control Assessments following NIST standards.

  • Utilize automated tools and AI for control testing, risk scoring, and continuous assessments, maintaining risk registers and compliance reports.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.

  • Experience with RMF tasks and Security Control Assessments per NIST SP 800‑37/800‑53A.

  • Proficiency in using automated tools and AI for security testing and risk management.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate with team members on complex security projects.
