Our client, a leading organization in the cybersecurity industry, is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist 1 to join their dedicated team. As a Cyber Security Specialist 1, you will be an integral part of the Cybersecurity Department supporting risk management and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to security challenges, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist 1

Location: Remote

Pay Range: Fair Market Rate

What's the Job?

  • Analyze RMF documentation and compliance artifacts to ensure adherence to security standards.

  • Track OA milestones and maintain dashboards to monitor risk posture effectively.

  • Support reporting and audit readiness activities to facilitate compliance verification.

  • Assist with automation integration for RMF workflows to improve efficiency.

  • Respond to security incidents, investigate violations, and recommend enhancements to mitigate security gaps.

What's Needed?

  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex security concepts clearly.
