RCM Technologies Configuration & Implementation Analyst – STARLIMS in United States

Role: Configuration & Implementation Analyst – STARLIMS Compensation: up to $75./hour commensurate with experience Location: Onsite - Sacramento, CA Length of Contract: 6 months Position Summary The Configuration & Implementation Analyst will support the deployment of an existing STARLIMS installation to an additional laboratory location. This role will focus on configuring and implementing the current STARLIMS environment, ensuring it aligns with local laboratory workflows while maintaining consistency with the established system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LIMS systems (preferably STARLIMS), a solid understanding of laboratory operations, and familiarity with ELN platforms. While this role is not responsible for validation execution, the candidate must understand validation processes in regulated environments and be able to develop and support validation-related documentation. Responsibilities STARLIMS Implementation & Configuration

  • Support the rollout of an existing STARLIMS configuration at a new laboratory site.

  • Configure and implement STARLIMS modules based on the current system architecture.

  • Ensure the system is aligned with laboratory workflows and operational needs.

    Planning & Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and execute the STARLIMS deployment.

  • Gather and document user requirements and ensure alignment with the existing implementation.

    System Setup & Technical Support

  • Assist with installation and configuration of the STARLIMS application, including worker processes and print manager.

  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and support system optimization during implementation.

    Validation Documentation Support

  • Support the development and organization of documentation required for system validation.

  • Ensure system implementation activities align with validation and regulatory expectations within a GxP environment.

    Training & User Support

  • Assist with training end users on system functionality.

  • Provide ongoing user support and assist with issue resolution following implementation.

    Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated laboratory environment.

  • Hands-on experience with LIMS systems (STARLIMS strongly preferred).

  • Experience supporting LIMS implementation or configuration projects.

  • Familiarity with ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) systems.

  • Understanding of GxP environments and computer system validation (CSV) processes.

  • Ability to develop or contribute to validation-related documentation.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with laboratory, IT, and quality teams.

    Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) preferred.
