Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Associate Director, Data Science and Analytics to lead end-to-end analytics initiatives and build scalable models that drive business impact. This role requires a strong foundation in statistical modeling, hands-on coding in Python and SQL, and the ability to translate data into strategic insights. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
Understands Razorfish data capabilities and how data fits into a client's overall strategy
Understands the breadth of data services and crafts
Able to lead cross-capability projects and build close relationships with other disciplines
Able to identify appropriate data SME to leverage when needed
Data Strategy
Able to systematically identify key issues and objectives to prioritize for internal and client needs and gain necessary buy-in
Shows thought leadership in bringing new, innovative, or different methods of elevating a client's 1) marketing goals or 2) data sophistication and maturity. For example, a Manager will be able to synthesize new learnings that may help augment or pivot a client's current strategy.
Understands how frameworks and analyses drive overall client business strategy
Communication Skills
Effectively able to guide strategy and issue resolution using clear, thoughtful communication
Commands client audiences and turns presentations into a constructive dialogue
Considered a compelling, organized, and energetic presenter
Cultivates discussion on a broad base of topics and promotes junior team members to speak up appropriately
Frequently leads internal and client discussions, showing ability to pivot as needed
Able to structure and prepare well written, logical sections of different styles of deliverables without guidance
Uses clear, concise writing to communicate a compelling story
Able to synthesize complex analytical approaches / findings articulately and concisely

Seen as a key client partner by junior clients
Helps clients see beyond current projects to longer-term opportunities
Proactively keeps the client 'in the loop' on industry trends and recommends projects based on those trends
Displays professional, articulate, and mature presence in all aspects of client relationship building
Understands how to document and respond to client feedback and recognizes when to escalate issues or push back on a client
Able to gain client buy-in to new projects
Understands and articulates client strategy
Sensitive to client needs and concerns and acts in the clients' best interest
Teaches team to have sensitivity to client business issues
Tools & Techniques
Shows mastery of data tools and platforms and techniques
Ensures statistical concepts are built into appropriate projects, with appropriate code reviews where applicable
Understands when advanced analytic resources / methods are needed
Able to manage/execute vendor assessments
Analytics
Planning and Implementation
Proposes and develops strategic outlines to learning agendas / measurement plans
Oversees program implementation effectively, ensuring measurement goals are met and KPIs are effectively captured
Insight Generation
Able to see long-term implications of insights and recommendations across several channels
Guides junior team members to build foundational reports, understand data implications, and presentations highlight relevant results and proposed actions
Qualifications
7-9 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or related roles
Advanced Python skills for data analysis, modeling, and ML (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.)
Expert-level SQL for complex data querying and transformation
Proven experience applying statistical modeling and machine learning techniques in production
Experience in working with cloud platforms, such as GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.
Experience with analytic tools, such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.
Strong communication and storytelling skills with data

Compensation Range: $110,580 to $173,995. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
