Location: Seoul, Korea Position Title: Assistant Manager Business Development Summary: * This role supports the commercial team in driving distributor performance and market expansion. This position will be responsible for managing distributor relationships, tracking sales and distribution KPIs, supporting trade marketing initiatives, and ensuring execution excellence across markets. The role requires strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance. * Major Duties/Responsibilities:Summary of major duties: Distributor Performance Management • Deliver Sell In(GS) and Sell Out(ICS) stretch targets • Monitor and analyse distributor sales performance • Coordinate monthly business reviews with distributors • Negotiate on monthly PO placement and inventory management • Support onboarding and capability building of new distributors • Ensure distributor compliance with commercial policies and operational standards • Verification on reimbursement and support budget allocated to distributor within budget • Weekly In Country Sales report by retailer by brand • Help setup new SKU in system: Coordinate with Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure that innovations are on track, setup in system and pricing simulated Top Retailer Negotiation and Management • Deliver Sell In(ICS) and Sell out(OFFTAKE) targets • Monitor and analyse key retailers’ sales performance • Negotiation on sales activities for key promotional seasons • Track products performance, tracking velocity and work on solutions to drive business • Work with distributors to lock annual retailers’ joint business plan • Implementation on OSA/SOS listing and tracking • Explore new emerging sales opportunities of new customers Sales & Distribution Reporting • Track and report distribution plans and distributors reports • Consolidate and analyse sales data by distributor and brand • Track distribution KPIs and coverage expansion • ROPS master file data update • Prepare monthly dashboards and insights • Utilize digital tools and BI platforms for reporting automation Marketing Activations/ Initiatives Implementation • Coordinate execution of trade promotions and activations • Track ROI and effectiveness of distributor-led initiatives • Support POSM planning and deployment • Share best practices and success stories across markets • Create and present sales analysis and trends reports • Monitor promotional pricing and ensure alignment with strategy • Prepare Best Practices – quarterly • Prepare PPT presentations for external business meetings Cross-functional Coordination & Market Intelligence • Liaise with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance for innovation launches, stock planning, and pricing alignment • Support preparation of business presentations and reports • Gather competitive intelligence and market trends to inform strategy • Contribute to strategic planning and distributor segmentation | * Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: * * Competencies:* Business Acumen Understands businesses dynamic including basic strategies and tactics activities in the marketplace. Recognizes the key actions necessary Resilient & demonstrates persistence in overcoming roadblocks to achieving results and encourages others to do the same. * Skills:* Strong sales background especially FMCG industry, Foods and Beverages preferred Analytical mindset Teamwork capability with high integrity Strong digital skills including Microsoft office programs and SAP systems working knowledge is an advantage – Excellent skills in Excel & PPT is a MUST Strong ability in time management Native Korea speaker is a must while English is also required at a normal business level of writing and speaking * Abilities:* Masters complexity and knows how to balance deliverables before or within timelines is a must Planning and Organizing – emphasis on the ability to prioritize Multi-tasking – the ability to be proactive and being able to anticipate needs Accepting and Building Accountability – focus also on having basic control procedures Being innovative and creative – finding ways and means within his/her job scope to make things more effective and efficient Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: * *Education: Bachelor’s degree holder or better. Preference for candidates with business related degrees.
