AREA SAFETY MANAGER
The Area Safety Manager provides leadership and strategic support for regional safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards across multiple project sites. This position plays a key role in fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Area Safety Manager is based out of our Dacono, CO office and travels regularly to oversee and support operations throughout the assigned area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Lead and coordinate safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations at the local, state, and federal level.
Conduct field inspections and audits, including daily informal worksite visits and formal bi-weekly documented inspections.
Perform root cause analyses (RCA) ofall incidents and ensure written reports are completed and submitted promptly.
Identify and evaluate potential hazards associated with Electrical Installations, underground construction, pipeline work, and transportation activities.
Assess the probability and severity of potential loss events and implement effective mitigative controls to reduce risk.
Attend and participate in daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), providing guidance and recommendations to eliminate or reduce hazards.
Develop and deliver safety meeting agendas and safety alerts based on field observations and audit findings.
Administer and support company safety programs, including Emergency Response Planning, Accident Prevention Initiatives, and Regulatory Compliance training.
Collaborate with central leadership, regional operations, and other safetyprofessionals to align safety strategies with corporate standards and goals.
Coach and advise management and employees to promote safe work practices and proactive hazard recognition.
Provide guidance on compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental laws, codes, and standards.
Ensure all field personnel receive proper training, including PPE use, safe work practices, CPR and First Aid certification, and site-specific orientations.
Support onboarding and orientation processes for new employees to ensure consistent safety messaging and compliance.
Oversee statistical reporting, PPE management, and monthly equipment inspections.
Assist in responding to and managing injury cases, including accompanying employees to medical facilities when needed.
Promote a strong and visible safety culture through communication, leadership, and example.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
3–5 years of progressive experience in field safety or construction safety management
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
Working knowledge of excavation and confined space safety
Strong understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations and compliance practices
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organized multitasker with attention to detail and strong time management skills
Ability to influence and collaborate across teams and organizational levels
Regular travel required throughout assigned area.
The physical activity for this role includes:
Travel as needed
On-call availability 24/7 or as assigned, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays
Site visits in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
Manual dexterity, typing, computer and small equipment use
Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods
Lift heavy loads, up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive motions such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
