About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Consumer Payments Experiences (CPX) team is building the next-generation digital wallet that users can rely on for storing, using and managing digital credentials including payments, identity, loyalty, tickets etc.
In this role, you will use surfaces such as the wallet app, wearables, wallet on web etc. to turn these into helpful, delightful and safe experiences for the users. You will also manage a variety of external relationships (OEMs, banks, aggregators etc.) and the surfaces that the partners use to onboard onto Wallet/Google Pay.
Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.
Responsibilities
Involve in the full software development life-cycle, from ideation, through implementation to post-production support.
Interact with cross-functional and partner teams to gather proposals/requirements, and generate and execute project plans.
Own software implementation projects, including providing full project management, creation and maintenance of implementation documentation and tracking timelines and deliverables.
Collaborate across various teams within the broader payments organization, as well as cross-product area teams from Android, Devices, etc.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional team to resolve issues that arise during design and implementation, and during post-production.
