What You’ll Do
Write clear, concise, well-structured, well-tested code that provides new features and improvements to existing services using Python, Perl, Javascript, and React
Break down complex requirements into independent coding tasks and strategies
Partner with talented engineers in an Agile environment to help to build a highly scalable product
Ship code to our production environment on a regular basis
Collaborate throughout the software development life cycle with product management, UX, support, professional services, and other engineering teams
Research and integrate the best of technologies/frameworks/libraries
Actively engage in technical design, code reviews, and testing
What You’ll Need
Experience
- 4+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer in a production environment plus a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; fluency in Python and experience developing in a Linux environment needed
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Front-end experience utilizing Javascript and JS Frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
Proficient SQL skills, with hands-on experience in Snowflake and MySQL
Knowledge of RESTful web services and APIs
Understanding of Database design and experience writing SQL queries against a data warehouse
Prior experience in technical design and leading coding reviews
Working Conditions
Candidates must be available to work US business hours; we may also consider candidates available during European business hours
Must be based in Philippines (Preferably in a major metro area such as Metro Manila, Cebu City, Davao City, or surrounding provinces
A stable and reliable internet connection with speeds of at least 50 Mbps is required; higher speeds are strongly preferred to ensure optimal performance in a remote work environment
Candidates must be able to obtain an international passport and be open to occasional travel (if you do not currently have a passport, the company will assist you in the application process)

Engagement Terms
This role has no direct reports.
The contractor will have autonomy to determine the methods, processes, and schedule for completing deliverables, subject to agreed-upon project milestones and deadlines.
Compensation will be based on a fixed fee or hourly rate for services rendered, as outlined in the service agreement.
The contractor is responsible for managing their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with local regulations.
