What Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Quality Control analyzes and inspects Information Technology products and processes for compliance with internal and external specifications and standards. This job family collaborates with IT Project Management, Business Integration, and Application Development & Maintenance teams, among others, during implementation and integration projects to proactively identify compliance requirements and risks. Quality Control also conducts regular audits and develops and communicates new quality control procedures for the function.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced leader who can lead day-to-day activities in software testing lifecycle and oversee a team responsible for developing & executing processes and methodologies on quality assurance across a diverse technological landscape. In this role you need to manage testing capabilities in a new and existing IT landscape while also focusing on emerging technologies to deliver world-class solutions.
The primary focus for this role is to lead a team of specialists focused on testing capabilities in SAP business process, testing solution design and configuration standards, and work on cross-functional teams for business outcomes. You will also need to roll up your sleeves to design and build solutions and stay current with industry trends. The ideal candidate will oversee testing across multiple projects, design scalable testing architectures, and build solutions that drive efficiency and innovation to align with the organization’s strategic goals. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical expertise to ensure seamless integration across a diverse application landscape.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of solution design in our current enterprise IT landscapes along with testing strategies at the same time to oversee and drive large-scale organizational change initiatives by implementing the latest technologies. This role will also establish and implement functional and configuration standards and methodologies, product roadmaps, solution standards, and frameworks for application reuse. This role requires strong leadership, to lead development teams of 12-15 SMEs, stakeholder management, and technical expertise to ensure seamless integration across diverse application landscapes.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Define and implement a comprehensive performance testing strategy, including environment management, data preparation, and tool selection.
Support and implement the overall testing strategy aligned with business objectives
Support defining roadmaps and corresponding financial plans for technological investments to stay current with the technological trends
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing insights into testing capabilities and trends
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Build and Lead a team of performance engineers, including employees, consultants, and third-party vendors
fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
Foster collaboration among IT, business units, and external partners to ensure smooth integration and user adoption
Provide mentorship and training to team members on domain knowledge, configuration standards, and advanced technology solutions
Monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure alignment with quality standards
Functional Expertise:
Oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of Load, Stress, Endurance, and Scalability testing across multiple product lines.
Provide deep technical expertise in scripting and executing complex scenarios using LoadRunner and BlazeMeter . Strong hands-on experience with C, Java, or JavaScript for protocol-based and browser-based scripting.
Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to define non-functional requirements (NFRs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Lead the root cause analysis (RCA) of performance issues, providing actionable tuning recommendations for app servers, databases, and network layers.
Design and deliver high-level executive dashboards and detailed technical reports summarizing performance risks and readiness.
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations related to end-to-end enterprise solutions
Experience with various testing methodologies including functional, non-functional, and performance testing
Integrate AI technologies in Testing solution development to improve quality, faster to market, and reduce costs
Collaborate cross-functionally with enterprise, infrastructure, architecture, and cross-functional leaders to achieve results
Develop and maintain configuration standards and establish KPIs to measure the design and configuration quality and track post-implementation performance
Elevate Testing COE team members skills and knowledge of the latest technologies and trends using various forums like training sessions and hackathons
Documents and manages SOPs for software and information platform systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent experience
Minimum 15 years of IT and 12 years of hands-on experience in Testing ecosystem with extensive experience in Performance Testing
Proven record of accomplishment of leading testing capability on multi-tier applications and other major implementation projects
Strong knowledge of advanced technologies in Testing and Automation
Effective program management
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong stakeholder and people management skills
Expertise in change management and user adoption strategies
Timing – 1:00pm to 10:00pm IST OR 2:30am to 11:30am EST (to cover extended US period). This schedule may vary depending on the business requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams along with innovation and driving change
Enjoys detailed and challenging puzzles, thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and possesses the aptitude to work independently
Experience working in an onshore-offshore development model
Excellent communication skills with the ability to switch contexts between highly technical and business-focused topics quickly and easily
