IHG Housekeeping Team Leader - Holiday Inn Express Bengaluru Yeshwanthpur in India

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Supervision

  • Supervise and guide Room Attendants and Housemen on daily tasks

  • Allocate rooms and public area duties as per occupancy

  • Ensure proper grooming, discipline, and punctuality of the team

2. Room Inspection

  • Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to ensure brand standards are met

  • Ensure rooms are ready before guest check-in time

  • Maintain consistency in cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation

3. Guest Service

  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements promptly

  • Ensure quick turnaround of rooms for arrivals and departures

  • Coordinate with Front Office for room status updates

4. Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with Maintenance for repairs and upkeep

  • Coordinate with Laundry for linen availability

  • Ensure availability of cleaning supplies and guest amenities

5. Inventory & Control

  • Monitor usage of linen, chemicals, and guest supplies

  • Report shortages, damages, or losses

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of housekeeping materials

6. Training & Development

  • Train new staff on cleaning procedures and brand standards

  • Conduct on-the-job training and refreshers

  • Motivate team members to improve performance

7. Hygiene & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards

  • Follow SOPs for chemical usage and equipment handling

  • Report any hazards or incidents immediately

  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping operations and standards
