Emerson Automation Engineer (Control Systems) in Croatia

We are looking for a Resident Automation Engineer (Control Systems) who will work directly on-site with our customer, supporting state‑of‑the‑art automation technologies. In this role, you’ll provide services including DeltaV control system support, troubleshooting, application adjustments, commissioning, startup support, and warranty-related activities. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Deliver day‑to‑day on-site service, maintenance, and technical support for control systems.
Perform system health checks, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across control system components.
Provide remote technical assistance via phone to support customer needs.
Respond to emergency on‑call service requests when required.
Plan and execute system updates, patches, and upgrade activities.
Coordinate repairs, manage spare parts, and support customer training on maintenance tasks.
Contribute to DeltaV project work, including migrations, expansions, and new installations, ensuring consistent communication and strong customer relationships.

For this Role, You Will Need:
A technical degree or equivalent experience in automation, electronics, or electrical fields.
Experience working with process control systems (typically gained over several years).
Hands‑on knowledge of DCS/PLC systems.
Openness to complete technical and commercial training and to work regularly at the customer site.
Ability to respond to occasional emergency service calls.
Proficiency in both English and Croatian.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across teams or business units.
Background in the Automation, Process, or Instrumentation industries.
Familiarity with Emerson’s DeltaV system or similar advanced DCS technologies.
