Your role:

As an Assembly Fitter, you'll play a critical role in our MRO operations, assembling and testing single aisle family landing gears. You'll work as part of a diverse team to complete the required quantity of shipsets per week to meet our customer's expectations.

Key responsibilities:

• Assemble and test nose and forestay, main gears and sidestays for aerospace landing gear, with quality being at a high level.

• Continuous improvement on improving the quality and efficiency of both the assembly and test of the units.

• Deliver a product in line with quality, cost, and delivery.

Candidate skills & requirements

What you'll need:

• Advanced level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship gained within an Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical discipline

• Knowledge of working with and assembling aircraft Landing Gears (desirable)

• Experience in reading component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layouts and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins, Service Letters and Airworthiness Directives

• Ability to build and test complex sub-assemblies and Landing gears complete

• Ability to use a wide range of precision measuring and test equipment

• Responsibility and confidence to sign and stamp off own work for safe release back into flight service in line with all relevant build documentation (after training)
