As an API Security Sales Specialist, you will be afforded a flexibility not often seen in sales. You will help shape a region, target accounts and contribute to the go-to-market strategy. In this high profile role, you will be sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.
About the Team
Known internally as API Security Specialists you will need to be able to work independently on New Customer Acquisition as well as part of an Akamai Account Team when selling to existing Akamai customers. The passion and subject matter expertise for the API market is the main factor linked to the teams success.
As a Security Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Working with our generalist sales team to build and close a solid pipeline within Existing Accounts.
Working with Channel, SDR and Marketing to build and close a solid pipeline in New Accounts.
Being a leader and subject matter expert in driving the API Security agenda internally and externally.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have knowledge in API Security and the surrounding technology areas.
Have experience within a matrixed organization.
Have direct sales experience and be able to demonstrate C level access and engagement.
Able to work with our Channel Partners and continue successful collaboration.
Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
Be fluent in French and English.
