Cummins Inc. Maintenance Mechanic II | Fixed-Term Contract (6 months) in Brazil

DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Performs machine maintenance and support tasks to keep equipment operational and in good working order. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery, and specialized equipment, completing tasks with limited supervision. Learns and understands protocols for working safely with electricity, as well as with other energy sources used in industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform corrective, predictive, and preventive mechanical maintenance services of varying levels of complexity in production areas, maintaining original specifications and design, interpreting technical manuals and maintenance plans, in accordance with safety and quality procedures.

Disassembly / Assembly and Adjustment: of precision recirculating ball screws; shaft bearing assemblies; spindle motor assemblies; NC rotary tables and/or 360° x 1 tables, multi-spindle gearboxes; identify and correct faults (chronic and sporadic) in mechanical systems, hydraulic and/or pneumatic circuits in machine tools and/or CNC machines, presses, and assembly cells.

Perform maintenance on equipment ventilation and exhaust systems and heat exchangers.

Create sketches of parts and components for machinery and equipment.

Operate machine tools (grinders, milling machines, lathes, etc.) to manufacture or recondition mechanical parts.

Improve and modify mechanical systems, hydraulic and/or pneumatic circuits in machinery and devices in general, with the aim of eliminating chronic or sporadic failures.

Develop content and share knowledge with team members, as required and directed.

Monitor and conduct tests on new machines, materials, services, facilities, and industrial equipment, as well as services provided by third parties.

Occasionally move parts and equipment undergoing maintenance using forklifts, when properly certified (certificates held by the Industrial Safety Department).

Education, Specializations, Certifications:

High school diploma;

SENAI Mechanical Technician certification or equivalent;

Experience:

Requires 3 to 5 years of solid experience in the maintenance of CNC and conventional machines, washing machines, presses, assembly lines, robots, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
