Key job responsibilities
Establish best practices for AWS infrastructure and terraform management for other teams at the company to follow.
Operate eero’s Kubernetes infrastructure on EKS, and ensure we are following industry best practices
Own eero’s build and deploy tooling and infrastructure for teams across the company
Improve the logging and monitoring story for cloud services
Identify processes that require manual work and drive towards automated solutions
Drive operational excellence through readiness reviews and retrospectives
A day in the life
As a part of the team, you will build and maintain the shared infrastructure that powers many of these core services to ensure that eero’s cloud is always available and performant. You will empower other engineering teams at eero to build and deploy their services in a maintainable and secure manner. This job involves managing infrastructure as code with Terraform and CDK, along with writing scripts and tooling to automate manual tasks.
About the team
eero's Cloud Identity and Operations team is responsible for the cloud infrastructure we operate in AWS, setting best practices for feature engineering teams to follow and writing tools to make their jobs simpler. eero's cloud services power critical features that enable customers to view, manage, and troubleshoot their networks.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with distributed systems at scale
Experience with networking fundamentals including hands-on experience with load balancers, switches, routers, etc.
Experience building services using AWS products
