Stryker Senior Demand Planner – Medical APAC in Australia

About the role

As Senior Demand Planner - Medical APAC, you will be responsible for developing high‑quality, data‑driven demand forecasts across the APAC region. Based in Sydney, you’ll combine statistical forecasting, commercial insight and advanced analytics to influence inventory, service levels and business outcomes across diverse markets.

About you

You’re an analytical and commercially aware demand planner who thrives in complex, matrixed environments. You’re comfortable working with large datasets, challenging assumptions and partnering with sales, marketing and regional stakeholders to deliver accurate, value‑adding demand insights.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain accurate statistical and market‑driven demand forecasts

  • Analyse forecast trends, risks, gaps, accuracy and bias, and provide clear insights

  • Partner with regional and in‑country stakeholders to improve forecast quality

  • Develop scenario modelling and “what‑if” analyses to support decision making

  • Drive forecasting best practices and continuous improvement

  • Support S&OP / IBP processes through high‑quality demand inputs

  • Prepare management and executive‑level reporting and insights

  • Collaborate with global and APAC teams to align demand signals

Must‑have experience / skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in supply and/or demand planning

  • Hands‑on experience generating and tuning demand forecast models

  • Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities

  • Experience working with large and diverse product portfolios

  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment

Nice‑to‑have experience / skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (analytics or data‑focused background preferred)

  • Knowledge of S&OP / Integrated Business Planning processes

  • Experience with SQL

  • Medical, healthcare or regulated industry experience
