About the Role
As a Security Technician , you will play a key role in providing technical support, maintenance, fault resolution, and small project work for Honeywell security systems across the EGRP facility.
This role is hands on, diverse, and ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, autonomy, and working within a secure, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform day to day service and maintenance of Honeywell and third-party security equipment
Diagnose and repair faults on security head-end systems
Configure software for EBI (security modules only), DVM, ECAS, CCTV, IP Intercoms
Provide exceptional technical support and customer service to onsite clients
Maintain accurate site documentation and quality assurance records
Participate in small to medium security installation projects, including subcontractor coordination
Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and within contract requirements
Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting
Support after-hours callout roster when required
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Security Installer Licence
ACMA Open Cabler Registration
Certificate III in Electronics & Communications (or trade qualification)
Strong experience in electronic security systems
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Commitment to safety and compliance
Desirable
Experience with Honeywell security platforms
Previous work in secure, critical, or government environments

Location
This role is based on-site at the Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison (EGRP) in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
Candidates must be willing to relocate or already reside locally. Relocation support is available.
