Job Description:
Commercial Manager (Rail & Infrastructure)
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Commercial Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the day to day administration of a FIDIC based contract, managing variations, claims, payments and formal correspondence to protect the Client’s commercial and contractual position on a major project.
What You'll Be Doing:
Administering the contract in strict accordance with FIDIC Conditions
Drafting formal contractual correspondence, including notices, Engineer’s Instructions, determinations
Managing contractual notices and safeguarding against time bar risks
Administering and valuing variations
Assessing Extension of Time claims, including delay and concurrency analysis
Reviewing and certifying interim payment applications
Monitoring Contractor performance against contractual milestones and applying Delay Damages where applicable
Maintaining comprehensive contract registers, records and audit trails
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline like Civil Engineering.
Minimum 12 years’ post graduate experience in commercial or contract management roles and projects like rail and infrastructure.
At least 8 years’ proven experience in commercial management on major projects in the UAE
Strong working knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and contractual procedures
Ability to draft clear, structured and contractually sound correspondence
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience administering FIDIC contracts on large infrastructure or complex building projects
Exposure to contract negotiations and commercial strategy development
Experience operating within demanding client governance and reporting environments
Proficiency in delay analysis techniques and programme review
