Robert Half Plant Manager in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Description We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to oversee manufacturing operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is vital to ensuring the success of the facility by managing safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of continuous improvement while providing strong leadership and operational discipline.
Responsibilities:
• Direct all plant operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and cost objectives.
• Convert business demands into actionable production schedules to meet organizational goals.
• Implement structured daily and weekly operational routines to maintain consistency and efficiency.
• Analyze key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improving workflow and productivity.
• Collaborate with departments such as Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to optimize operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Mentor and develop supervisors and team leaders to strengthen leadership within the facility.
• Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement to enhance operational performance.
• Manage financial aspects of the plant, including budgeting and cost control.
• Oversee asset reliability, including maintenance and capital investment strategies. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
• Minimum of 4 years in a Plant Manager or equivalent role.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Proven experience in labor management, budgeting, and optimizing asset utilization.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Preferred qualifications include Lean/Six Sigma certification, multi-shift management experience, and technical expertise.
