Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description
Join a dynamic commercial foundation installation and repair team specializing in bridge and road construction. We are seeking dedicated laborers with general construction experience, especially in concrete work. Your ambition and motivation will be met with on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
Clean up job sites and ensure safety and organization.
Transport concrete using a wheelbarrow from the truck to the formed pad.
Assist the foreman or supervisor with various tasks as needed.
Engage in tasks like digging holes, sweeping, and moving materials.
Perform basic carpentry finishing and site clean-up.
Demonstrate reliability, strength, and a consistent work ethic.
Essential Skills
Experience in general construction and concrete work.
Ability to lift fifty pounds consistently.
Reliable transportation for travel to various construction sites across Hampton Roads, and occasionally towards D.C. and down to NC/SC.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with backhoe or skid steer is a plus.
Concrete finishing experience is highly desirable.
Possession of a REAL ID is required for base access.

Work Environment
Work in Virginia Beach on new commercial building sites, primarily focusing on concrete pouring for foundations. Expect to work Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with 5-10 hours of overtime typically available. Enjoy a collaborative and goal-oriented atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $20.00/hr.
