Aerotek Assembler in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Assembler – Electronic / Electro‑Mechanical Assembly

Pay: $18-25/hour



What You’ll Do

  • Assemble electronic, electrical, and electro‑mechanical components and subassemblies

  • Read and follow production instructions, drawings, schematics, wire lists, and blueprints

  • Build electrical enclosures, cables, wire harnesses, and complex assemblies using crimpers, wire strippers, torque tools, and multimeters

  • Perform point‑to‑point wiring and equipment installations with clean cable routing

  • Assist with software/firmware loading and verification (training available)

  • Support fiber optics assembly and testing (experience a plus, not required)

  • Maintain production efficiency while delivering high‑quality workmanship

  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance if required

What We’re Looking For

Experience (any of the following):

  • 2+ years in assembly, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, cable/wire harness work, or related production roles

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, or basic electrical tools

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation

  • Familiarity with wiring, soldering, crimping, or mechanical builds

  • Understanding of schematics, blueprints, or work orders

  • Experience with electronics testing, fiber optics, or software loading is a plus

Preferred Certifications (not required):

  • WHMA/IPC‑A‑620

  • IPC‑A‑610

  • J‑STD‑001

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
