Regional Change Director

Location: Mars Snacking Site in Europe

The Regional Change Director is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive change management strategy for key programs within Mars Snacking Europe, as well as designing a long-term strategy to build change maturity across the organization. This role bridges the people side of change with business strategy and transformational initiatives, including changes to processes, systems, technology, job roles, and organizational structures.

The primary focus is to create and execute regional change management strategy and deployment plans that maximize associate adoption of strategic changes. The Regional Change Director will work closely with the Regional Leadership Team, key regional partners, and the Global Change Team to deploy programs that engage associates, foster behavior shifts, and achieve the desired outcomes of strategic initiatives.

This role provides direct support and coaching to senior leaders and the Change Leads Team, guiding them and their teams through multiple transitions and ensuring successful change adoption across the region.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in effectively managing/ actively leading/participating in a deployment of a large, global cross-functional organizational change.

  • Experience with Regional Leadership exposure and cross-functional and globally dispersed teams.

  • Strong understanding and demonstrated application of the Mars Business Change Frameworks.

  • Strong understanding and demonstrated application change management methodologies (Prosci is preferred), frameworks, and tools.

  • Experience in managing and/or deep involvement in a multi-work stream program/PMO.

  • Depth of knowledge and experience working within the Mars organizational culture.

  • Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.

  • Prosci Certified (preferred).

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement the Europe and Central Eurasia (ECE) change management strategy for key Regional Transformation initiatives, aligned with global integration plans and key milestones in ECE. Tailor approaches for multiple audiences, including Senior Leaders, Line Managers, and Associates across all functions and clusters.

  • Embed transformational projects into the long-term Change Leadership capabilities journey in Europe and Central Eurasia ​(ECE), advancing change management maturity by focusing on sponsorship, building a Change Center of Excellence, establishing Change Management Standards across the region and projects, and executing a Change Capability Building Plan.

  • Lead the team of Cluster Change Leads (dotted reporting line to Regional Change Director) in partnership with Cluster GM's, to ensure smooth change deployment, consistent Associate Experience across all functions and clusters, and ongoing development of the Change team’s capabilities and engagement to secure great talents.

  • Lead the people side of change by supporting Senior Leaders, Line Managers, Associates, and SMEs in preparing and delivering transformation activities—from the change business case to full adoption. This includes identifying high-impact changes, developing Associate Readiness plans, embedding key shifts, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer across business units, functions, and Associate groups.

  • Lead sponsorship readiness and partner with the Europe and Central Eurasia ​(ECE) Leadership Team to prepare senior leaders for transformation deployment, and embedding new culture and M&B. Define their role in leading through change, ensuring clarity around expectations, commitment, and influence.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement for the change strategy across diverse groups, including the global IMO change team, communications partnership with CA, P&O, AR, Functional Sponsors, and SMEs, ensuring that regional risks and insights are considered in decision-making.

  • Build partnerships and share best practices with other regions, representing the Europe and Central Eurasia ​(ECE) Region in Global Forums by bringing key insights, sharing best practices, and flagging risks that may impact Regional deployment plans.

  • Provide strategic insights and updates to the Regional Leadership Team and Program Team, track change impacts, measure KPIs, and design change interventions to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Apply proven change management methodologies to foster alignment and engagement and coach stakeholder groups through transitions while minimizing disruption.
