Your Responsibilities
As Quality Engineering Director, you will assume full responsibility for quality management and quality assurance across our products and processes:
Close collaboration with Tektronix’s corporate quality organization
Strategic and operational leadership of the quality function at the site
Continuous development, implementation, and monitoring of our Quality Management System (QMS), including audit management and continuous improvement in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
Responsibility for EHS at the site, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and planning and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of Environment, Health, and Safety
Support and oversight of Product Compliance for the EA product line
Ensuring the highest quality standards through internal audits and the coordination of external certifications
Definition, analysis, and monitoring of key quality performance indicators, as well as the derivation of targeted actions to improve processes and products
Oversight and optimization of FMEA processes for safety-critical projects
Establishment, management, and ongoing development of Supplier Quality Management (SQM), including supplier audits
Facilitation of Kaizen workshops to promote lean methodologies and continuous improvement
Introduction of new quality processes from concept development through full implementation
Training and development of employees in quality-related topics and active support of change management initiatives
Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal quality requirements
Management and oversight of products and services quality performance, including failure counts and analysis of quality/reliability data for identification of trends.
Partnership with engineering, manufacturing and service for the integration of quality disciplines across product lifecycle.
Preparation of reports and presentations for communication of quality trends, findings and opportunities for improvement.
Your Profile
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable technical or scientific discipline
10+ years of leadership experience in quality management, ideally within a manufacturing or electronics/industrial environment
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, FMEA methodology, supplier management, and standard processes such as NPI
Proven experience with internal and external audits and certification processes
Hands-on experience with Kaizen, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement approaches
Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
Proficient in MS Office
Very good written and spoken German and English
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for actively shaping and improving processes
Statistical analysis skills (sampling, trending, charting, etc.)
