Actalent Transportation Engineer in Vienna, Virginia

This position offers the flexibility to be based in any of the following locations: Vienna, VA (Northern Virginia), Richmond, VA, or Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities
Assist in various aspects of transportation engineering projects under the supervision of a licensed Engineer (PE).
Perform transportation design tasks, including analysis and design involving interstates, urban and rural roadways, multimodal improvements, and traffic engineering.
Prepare programming, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
Coordinate and communicate with design team members to ensure integration of transportation design details.
Prepare marketing and presentation materials.
Participate in the bidding process by preparing addenda, amendments, and opening and tabulating bids.
Engage in construction phase services, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings.
Comply with quality control policies and procedures.
Participate in team meetings and coordinate efforts with other team members.
Research standards and specifications based on project requirements.
Work with and respond to directions from Senior Transportation Engineers, Project Managers, and Design Managers.
Perform tasks related to traffic engineering and planning studies, including intersection and corridor projects.
Develop manual calculations and analytical models for transportation analysis and design purposes.
Participate in developing a model of the site design and utilities in GeoPak and/or Civil 3D.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Over 4 years of experience in transportation engineering with a focus on roadway design and associated infrastructure.
Proficiency in design and production software, including Microstation, Microstation OpenRoads, and stormwater management design.
Experience in preparing construction documents and coordinating with other design team members.
Ability to perform transportation services during bidding and construction phases, including site visits and responding to RFIs.
Familiarity with traffic engineering programs such as VISSIM, Synchro, and Transmodeler is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
