Why This Role, Why PeaceHealth, and Why Now
If you’re looking for a way to use your vascular expertise where it truly matters —for patients who count on timely, accurate care—you’ll feel at home here. At PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, every scan you perform matters to someone’s future. We’re a mission driven, people first organization that believes our caregivers deserve the same level of care, respect, and support that we give our patients.
This per diem role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful, hands on patient care without sacrificing work life balance. You’ll use your skills to support both our outpatient vascular lab and our inpatient teams—including the OR, ICU, Cath Lab, and Emergency Department—during vacations, sick calls, and other coverage needs.
You’ll make a direct impact in moments that matter while keeping control over your schedule.
If you want autonomy, an inclusive environment, and the chance to be part of a trusted, community focused healthcare system, this is a place where your work truly makes a difference.
What You’ll Do
• Perform non invasive vascular ultrasound studies with accuracy and compassion.
• Use your clinical judgment to capture clear, diagnostic images.
• Provide preliminary findings to reading physicians and referring providers.
• Support both outpatient lab patients and urgent or emergent inpatient needs.
• Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and keep workspaces organized.
• Complete logs, basic paperwork, and exam charge forms.
• Step in for vacations, sick calls, and other coverage needs as part of a supportive team.
• Deliver patient centered care with respect for all backgrounds and identities.
What You Bring
Education
• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Vascular Technology or Sonography (required)
Experience
• While we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, this role is best suited for technologists with at least 2 years of vascular lab experience. Experienced RVTs/RVSs are preferred, especially those comfortable working independently in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
Credentials
• RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) required
• Basic Life Support required at time of hire
